State Rep. Pauline Wendzel announces re-election 

BAINBRIDGE TWP., MI - State Rep. Pauline Wendzel officially announced her plan to run for re-election in Michigan’s new 39th House District

“Growing up on my family farm, I learned the value of hard work and getting the job done right,” Rep. Wendzel said.  “For more than four generations, my family has called Bainbridge Township and Southwest Michigan home, and I’m incredibly proud to announce that I’m running for my final term in Michigan’s new 39th House district.”  

The Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission has completed drawing new legislative maps for the Michigan House of Representatives.  Pending any successful lawsuits, these maps will be in place for the next ten years. The new 39th House District includes Bainbridge Township, Coloma Township, Coloma City, Watervliet Township, and Watervliet City in Berrien County.  It also encompasses all Van Buren County apart from Covert and South Haven.  The district also includes Lee, Cheshire, and Trowbridge Townships and part of Otsego Township in Allegan County.

Representative Wendzel recently was ranked as the third most conservative member of the Michigan House of Representatives in the 2021 legislative session.  Additionally, she has received the endorsements of the NRA, Right to Life, and Michigan Farm Bureau in both of her prior elections. 

“As the Chairwoman of the House Commerce and Tourism Committee, my focus is making Michigan more competitive with our surrounding Midwestern states,” Rep. Wendzel said.  I know there are a lot of areas in which we need to improve, such as workforce development, expanding access to broadband in rural communities like ours, and giving parents a say in the education of their children.  To truly rebuild Michigan and make it a great place to live, work, and raise a family, we need to do better.  I have a proven record of success and delivering for my community, and I’m ready to continue fighting for Southwest Michigan.”

Rep. Pauline Wendzel is currently serving her second term as the State Representative for Michigan’s 79th House District.
